Marrella Sue Schug, 75 years old, of Abilene, Texas, passed away on March 20, 2023.
A Memorial service in her honor, will be held at a later date.
Sue was born in Lamesa, Texas, on December 21,1947 to Woodrow Wilson Johnson and Mable Elizabeth Johnson. She attended school at Cross Plains, Texas. Marrella Sue Schug married John Schug on February 9,1999 in Abilene, Texas. She loved her family dearly. She loved talking to her children. She also loved shopping and going out to eat. She collected Teddy bears and Betty Boop memorabilia. She loved being spoiled and getting her nails done. She loved to make her mama's famous peanut butter cookies. She was extremely close to her granddaughter Amy, the two of them shared a very special bond. She was a homemaker.
Sue was proceeded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Mable Johnson, brother Gene Johnson, great-grandchildren, Gracelyn Covey and Charles Turner.
Sue is survived by her spouse, John Schug of Abilene, Texas. Sons; Richie and his wife Erika, Michael Mershon of Mesquite, Curtis Bleeker and fiancé Katie Rimas of Vernon, Texas. Daughter, Elizabeth Mershon and fiancé Tony Scott of Abilene, Texas. Brothers; Vernon and wife Trina Johnson of Odessa, Texas, and Patrick Johnson of Abilene, Texas. Sister, Rita Johnson of Whitney, Texas. Sister-in-law, Angula Johnson of Abilene, Texas. Grandchildren; Justin, Jared and Reagan Mershon of Mesquite, Texas; Gabby and Noah Bleeker of Sweetwater, Texas; Amy and Michael Turner of Abilene, Texas; Jeannie Comardo of Abilene, Texas; John Comardo and fiancé Clara Woffard, and Christopher and wife Layla Comardo. Great-grandchildren; Joelle, Joshua, Jazmine and Cheyenne Comardo. of Vernon, Texas; and Rowne and Rose Comardo of Clyde, Texas. As well as a host of nieces and nephews and some very close friends.
