Marsha Beth Farnell was born on June 30, 1941, to John and Evelyn Hicks in Knoxville, Tennessee. Marsha went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 3, 2025, in Lutz, Florida.
Marsha was a proud graduate of Hillsborough High School Class of 1959. Marsha was a faithful member of Idlewild Baptist Church for 22 years. She loved being a part of the Choir, Banners Ministry, Seekers Bible Fellowship class, and the Senior Adult Ministry. She loved singing and was proud of her gospel album, Singing I Go. Marsha loved sports, especially basketball, and truly enjoyed watching her children and grandchildren play. Marsha was a pastor's wife for over 30 years and she loved serving the church.
Marsha was preceded in death by her husband, Pastor Ron Farnell, her parents John and Evelyn Hicks, and her sister Susan Hicks, and other relatives. Marsha is survived by son, Marc and wife Kim Farnell, son, John and wife Sandi Farnell, and daughter Stephanie and husband, Christian Hockley. 10 grandchildren: Taylor and husband Eddie, Brittney and husband Isaac, Jessica and husband Justin, Allyson and husband Conner, Macey and husband Trevor, Hannah, Payton, Jake and fiancé Lindsay, Tori, and Beckham. 6 great grandchildren: Jace, Lyla, Kaiden, Adam, Jay, and Mia. Marsha is also survived by other relatives and friends.
