Marsha Chaney Goble

Marsha Chaney Goble, 70, of Cherryville, NC, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Somerset Court, Cherryville.
She was born May 9, 1952, in Mecklenburg Co, NC, daughter of the late Pete and Inez Hicks Chaney.
Marsha loved the mountains and the beach, but most importantly she loved her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jimmy Chaney, and Steve Chaney; sisters, Iris Chaney, and Frances Ervin; and grandchildren, Abbey Thompson, and Graeyson Hooper.
Marsha is survived by her son, Alan Hudson and wife Stephanie; daughters, Lynn Hooper and fiancé Daryl, and Sherry Moore and husband Abe; sisters, Sylvia Wilson, and Kathy Miller; grandchildren, Timothy Price, Britney Thompson, Taylor Hooper, Alex Hudson, Avery Hudson, and Adelyn Hudson; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Thompson, Tucker Thompson, Mallory Thompson, Sawyer Thompson, Makinlee Thompson, Matthew Brooks, Malaysia Brooks, and Graelynn Brooks; sister-in-law, Pat Chaney; and a number of nieces and nephews.
A funeral service officiated by Pastor Kevin Ford, will be held 1pm, Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the South Chapel of Greene Funeral Service – 1503 S. York Rd., Gastonia, NC 28052.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Interment will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, Mt. Holly, NC.
