Marsha Ingrid Hegar

MARSHA INGRID STRAUSS HEGAR, 72, of Bellville, Texas, passed away Monday, April 10, 2023, in Bellville.
She was born September 2, 1950, in Bellville, Texas, the daughter of Harold Charles and Doris Hurley Strauss. Marsha grew up and attended schools in the Bellville area, graduating from Bellville High School. After graduation, she attended Sam Houston State University, and Prairie View A&M, earning her master's degree in early childhood education. Marsha was employed as a teacher for Saint Mary's and Faith Academy for many years. Marsha was a member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Bellville. Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling and has traveled all over the world. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her garden, drinking wine, hanging out with her furry friends, and volunteering at St. Mary's church. Most of all, she was looking forward to becoming a soon to be grandmother ("mimi").
She is survived by her son: Chase Hegar and his wife, Emily, of Abilene; grandchild in progress: Colter Wade Hegar; niece: Melanie Bean; nephew: Michael Bean; and several cousins, other family, and dear friends.
Marsha was preceded in death by her parents: Harold and Doris Strauss; and brother: Michael Strauss.
