She attended St. Agnes Academy in Houston, Texas, graduating in June 1941. After graduating high school, she moved to San Antonio, Texas and worked at Duncan Field (Kelly Air Force Base). After retirement, she was able to spend her time fulfilling a passion she had for traveling. She traveled to Europe, Alaska, Hawaii, Panama Canal, Costa Rica, where she was zip lining at the age of 85, and her favorite place, Las Vegas, NV.

Aunt Mary Lou was one of the finest women I have ever known. Not only a wonderful aunt, she was also always an amazing example of how to act like a true lady. I will always be proud to be her niece and rejoice that she is giving Heaven her rigorous once over.

I have so many wonderful memories of Aunt Mary Lou. She always made our visits a fun adventure. One year when my kids were small and we were there at Easter, she made an Easter egg tree for my kids. Being with her was always so special. I will miss so much.
