Marsha Lynn Junk, age 74, of Washington CH, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at St. Catherine's Manor of Washington CH.
She was born on March 28, 1950 in Fayette County to the late Samuel G. and Margaret E. (Merritt) McConkey. She was a 1968 graduate of Washington High School. Marsha worked as an office manager at the former Fishers Big Wheel for twenty-five plus years; she was also a beloved babysitter to 115 children over the years. She was a faithful member at the Heritage Church. She enjoyed shopping, baking, camping, and spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Marsha was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Lee Junk, whom she married on January 18, 1969; grandson, Christopher Alan Fox; sister, Mary Kay Randolph; and nephew, Joshua Lee DeLong.
Survivors include her daughters, Kristi (Bret) Fox, and Kimberly (Michael) Gilmore; grandchildren, Cate (Drew) Donofrio, Caylee Fox, Makayla (Nick) Funari, Matthew Gilmore, Madison Gilmore, and Maggie Gilmore; great-grandchildren, Harper Rose, Luke and Lennox Funari, and Brooks Stapleton; siblings, Gale McConkey, Dave (Joyce) McConkey, and Cathy McConkey; and brother-in-law, Thomas "Junior" Randolph. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of friends.
The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 4, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at the Summers Funeral Home with Danny Dodds officiating with burial to follow at the Frankfort Cemetery.
