Marsha M. Landsberg

Marsha M. Landsberg, age 94, of 18 Tower Lane in New Haven passed away on June 5, 2025
Marsha lived most of her life in the Bronx, where she was a public school music teacher, bringing the love of singing to thousands of students at Walton High School. In addition to her love of music, Marsha loved all synagogue activities, knitting, playing cards and Mah Jong, and driving her friends and neighbors wherever they needed to go She loved schmoozing with everyone.
She was extremely devoted to her son Jay Sokolow (and his wife Ina Silverman), daughter Mady Bernard (husband Cliff), and grandchildren Shai Sokolow Silverman, Avital Sokolow Silverman, and Perry Minkoff. Sadly, her husband, Theodore Landsberg, whom she met at Jay's bar mitzvah, predeceased Marsha by 31 years. She greatly enjoyed her life despite the loss, traveling with family members, especially Ina's mom, Lillian. She was predeceased by Joshua Sokolow, from whom she was divorced but with whom she maintained a cordial relationship.
