Marsha Sifford

August 5, 2025

Stanley, North Carolina - Marsha Wilson Sifford, age 73, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday August 5, 2025 at Stanley Total Living Center. She was born in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late James Marshall "Butch" Wilson, Jr. and Eleanor Edwards Wilson.

Ms. Sifford was a graduate of East Lincoln High School and went on to obtain a bachelor's degree from UNC Charlotte. She began her career as the office manager for Cates Mechanical Company and went on to work as a realtor. She was a longtime active member of Cooks Memorial Presbyterian Church where she sang in the choir and also served as a Deacon. In her spare time she found happiness watching NC State Basketball and the Atlanta Braves.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Lynn Sifford, her brother Jim Wilson, her niece Sarah James (Tyler), nephew Justin Wilson (Dustin), as well as her great nephew Jameson Wilson.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday August 8, 2025 at Cooks Memorial Presbyterian Church. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service also at the Church. Interment will immediately follow in the Church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Cooks Memorial Presbyterian Church.
