Marshall "Rick" Munnis, 68

Holland - Marshall Richard "Rick" Munnis, 68, joined the heavenly choir on Wednesday, May 12, 2021, after passing away at the Harrington Memorial Hospital, Southbridge, surrounded by his family after a long battle with prostate cancer.

Rick was born in Washington D.C. to Marshall Alexander Munnis and Ruth Cornelia Beall Munnis. He grew up with his elder sister, Norma Jean Munnis. Rick married his wife, Paige Lynn Higby, on October 12, 1991, and had two sons, Connor James Higby Munnis and Gene Alexander Higby Munnis. Rick was a loving and supportive husband and father who was extraordinarily proud of his sons. Rick was also a caring and outgoing person who was always the life of the party. Rick loved spending time with his family, musical theatre, and singing. Rick was a member of the Worcester Men of Song, The Quaboag Choral Society, and The New Hope Church of Christ. Rick was a US Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War serving in the 'Brown Water Navy'. Most recently, Rick worked for J.P. McCarthy & Sons as a bus driver.

Rick is survived by his wife, Paige, his sons, Gene and Connor, and his daughter-in-law, Rebecca Christine Munnis. He is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Ruth, and his sister, Norma.

Calling hours for Rick will be on Saturday, May 15th, from 5:00-7:00pm in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge.
