Marshall Richard Smith

Marshall Richard Smith, 81, Harrodsburg, died Friday, August 29, 2025. Born November 20, 1943 in Mercer County he was the son of the late Russell and Elizabeth Snow Smith. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force where he served in Vietnam. He was a retired employee of the Matthew's Conveyer, of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing and classic cars.

Survivors include one son: Dakota Smith of Harrodsburg; one step-daughter: Jackie Robinson of Harrodsburg; two brothers: Russell Gene (Marti) Smith of Lawrenceburg and Jim Smith of Perryville; one sister: Sue (Jerry) Masters of Mackville; five grandchildren: Elizabeth Smith, Marshall (Barbara) Watts, Victoria Watts, Kelsie Robinson and Kendall Robinson; four great-grandchildren: Micah Thompson, Alex Watts, Carter Coslow and Marshall Lane Coslow and his girlfriend: Michael Potter of Harrodsburg.

He was preceded in death by his first wife: Joyce Mae Smith; one great-grandchild: Ashton Robinson; and one brother: Robert Smith.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services with Bro. Lynn Releford officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery with Dakota Smith, Marshall Watts, Kendall Robinson, Randy Smith, Chris Smith and Joe Smith serving as pallbearers and Preston Johnson serving as an honorary pallbearer.

Visitation will be 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and after 7:00 a.m. Thursday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home Inc. and Cremation Services.
