Frances Sims Padgett, 100, widow of Walter Padgett, died August 22, 2025 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born March 9, 1925 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Elijah Elmore and Lillian Myrtle Casey Sims. She was a retired Corning Glass Inspector and member of Shawnee Run Baptist Church where she had played piano for many years. She enjoyed music, reading, front porch sitting and sharing stories of her 100 years of adventures with friends, neighbors, and the Willows staff and residents.

Survivors include her daughter: Debra Padgett Arnold of Danville and her grandson: Clayton Arnold of Asheville, North Carolina, numerous nieces, nephews, her many in-laws and neighbors and friends, whom she considered as family. She was preceded in death by two sisters: Phyllis Leonard and Laura Evelyn Matherly.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 27, 2025 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Logan Hazelwood and Lynn Releford officiating. Burial will be in the Spring Hill Cemetery with Brent Sanders, Bill Gohranson, Guy Harris, Toby Matherly, Barry Taylor and Billy Minton serving as pallbearers and Shawnee Run Community Group, the "Golden Girls Group", BCB & Company and Joey Hardin serving as honorary pallbearers.

Although flowers are welcome, memorial contributions may be made to Shawnee Run Baptist Church, 2542 Shakertown Road, Harrodsburg, Ky 40330 and/or to Fellowship Baptist Church Building Fund, 481 Cornishville Road, Harrodsburg, Ky 40330.

Visitation will be 11:00 am until time of the service on Wednesday at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
