John Joseph Padgett, aged 85, of Live Oak, FL, passed away on August 26, 2025. Born on September 14, 1939 in Troy, New York, John moved to Live Oak from Loxahatchee, FL over twenty years ago. He was a proud veteran who served in the Army in Germany. John traveled the East Coast for work as a Master Electrician, particularly in West Palm Beach, where he was involved in both residential and commercial work.

John was a man of many talents and interests. He enjoyed karaoke and was known for his great country singing. He also loved bass fishing and participated in many tournaments in South Florida. Additionally he was skilled in small engine repair and his willingness to always help others in need will be sorely missed.

John is survived by his life partner, Anna Lou Harrell (JC, Kim, Blake, and Rylee) ; his daughter, Christiane Valore and her husband Dave; his two grandchildren, Michael Valore (Jess) and Nicholas Valore; and his sister-in-law, Betty Padgett. He was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Thelma "Bunny" Bruce Padgett, his father, Joseph Padgett, his mother, Celia O'Malley, his step-father, Vernon Grenquist, his brother, Jimmy Padgett, and half sister Sandy Palmer.

A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, September 7, 2025 at Daniels Memorial Chapel. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm and the service will commence at 3:00 pm Flowers are accepted or if you prefer a memorial contribution the family ask that you make one to Tunnels to Towers .
