Marta Tekle Obituary
Marta Tekle, age 55 of Kettering, Ohio passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 23, 2024. She was born February 25, 1969 in Asmara, Eritrea daughter of Tekle Ghebreiesus and Azieb Tesfaselassie.
Marta was a loving and caring daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a faithful member of Christian Life Center where she dedicated her self to serve the Lord, Jesus Christ with all her life. Marta also had ministry that allowed her to serve others across the world through different resources and organizations. Outside of her spiritual life she was a full time Health Care Therapist who had a passion for serving others. She enjoyed her family, friends, and her Church. Marta will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing her.
Marta had 2 favorite bible verses that she shared with her family, John 1:1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God" and Romans 10:17 "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ"
Marta was preceded in death by her father, Tekle Ghebreiesus; brothers, Misgun and Sebhat Tekle.
She is survived by her mother, Azieb Tesfaselassie; siblings, Kedesan, Tsion (Temesgen), Solomon (Akeberet), Samuel, Fitsum, and Lilly (Yohannes); nephews, Hizkiel, Thomas, Aaron; nieces, Zebib (Biniam), Salem, Hannah, and Selina; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
A gathering will be held on Friday, November 29, 2024 from 1pm - 5pm at Hopeland Church, 6025 Miller Ln, Dayton, OH 45414.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024 at 10am at the Woodland Cemetery Mausoleum, 118 Woodland Ave, Dayton, OH 45409. Burial to follow at Woodland Cemetery.
