Marty (Marth Ann) Smith, 89, passed peacefully on October 5, 2025, after a long battle with cancer.
She is survived by her three sons, Jimmy Quin (Liz), Michael Quin (Dana) and Edward Quin, Jr.; four grandchildren, Tabetha Lamb (Steven), Chad Quin (Gretchen), Celia deMonte (Bryan) and John Quin (Lina); seven great-grandchildren, Jake Lamb, Skylar Lamb, Alyssa Quin, Quin deMonte, Luke deMonte, Camilla Quin, and Noah Quin; a special cousin, Lynelle Britt; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her husband of 21 years Edward Quin, Sr.; husband of 4 years, Carl Ray Smith; parents, Juanita and Jim Foshee; and brothers, William, Bob, Don, and Gene Foshee.
Marty served as a professional at the Mississippi Highway Patrol and with The City of Jackson, Mississippi for many years before retiring.
Funeral services will be held on October 10, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation one hour prior, at Harvest Church, 15223 Landon Rd., Gulfport, MS 39503. Burial will follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens, 8910 Carl Legett Rd, Gulfport, MS.
Pallbearers will be Chad Quin, Steven Lamb, Yoni Michua, Christopher Michua, Cody Britt and John Quin. Also, Buddy Pirie is serving as an honorary pallbearer.
The family wishes to give special thanks to her faithful caregiver who was like a daughter to Marty – Juana Vazquez Macedonio.
Marty's family, friends, and Harvest Church family will treasure each memory.
