Martha "Marty" Bailey

Martha "Marty" Bailey, age 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 14, 2026. She was born on April 1, 1935, in Augusta, Georgia to the late Harry and Martha Hill.

Marty was a loving, strong-willed, and independent woman who truly lived life to the fullest. She was admired and respected by her peers and was known for her incredible work ethic and determination.

She was exceptionally intelligent, even skipping a grade in school, and carried that sharp mind with her throughout her life. Her bold spirit and courageous heart defined the way she lived.

Marty will be remembered for her strength, independence, and adventurous spirit. She leaves behind a legacy of resilience, love, and determination that will continue to inspire all who knew her.

She is survived by her devoted daughter, Pamela "Pam" West (Tim); granddaughter, Kendall Lovell (Robert); great-grandchildren, Robert James and Madison Lovell; sisters, Pat Propes and Cindy Souther; as well as many other beloved family members and friends. Marty was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Bruce Bailey.

Graveside services are scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Westview Cemetery with Pastor Jason Walton officiating.
