Martha Lucille "Lucy" (Jacobs) Bennett, 87, of Lohman, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at her home with family by her side.
She was born on January 28, 1938, in Lohman, Missouri the daughter of the late Frank Joseph and Virginia Lucille (Meller) Jacobs. Lucy attended St. Martin's Catholic School and held several positions throughout her career with her last employment being with the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
On October 19, 1957, she was united in marriage to Euel Creed Bennett at St. Martin's Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on December 21, 1991.
Lucy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose life was centered around her family. She found joy in quilting, gardening, camping and especially cooking for family gatherings. Above all she cherished time spent with her children and loved ones.
She is survived by her son, Keith Wayne Bennett (Phyllis); brother, John Jacobs (Donna); sisters, Vernie Eichholz (Eddie), Betty Harrison, Shirley Forck (Bill), and Marilyn Keller (Leon); grandchildren, Dustin (Carrie), Alex (McKenzie) and Tanner (Kristina); great-grandchildren, Waylon, Stella, and Tatum; step-great-grandchildren, Jackson and Emerson; and sister in-law, Velma Jacobs and Connie Jacobs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Euel; her daughter, Sandra Kay Bennett; sisters, Ethel Bernskoetter and Anna Marie; brothers, Henry Jacobs and Robert Jacobs and her brother in-laws, Leroy Harrison, Wilber Bernskoetter and Jim Limbach.
In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made to the donor's choice.
Friends and family will be received at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday October 23, 2025 at St. Martin's Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m., with interment at St. Martin's Catholic Cemetery.
