Martha Ann Boyd, age 90, passed away December 22, 2024. She was born July 25, 1934 to the late Richard Perry Davis Sr. and Zelma Davis.
Martha in the Bible was the sister of Mary, and a friend of Jesus. The name Martha is associated with qualities such as kindness, reliability, independence and determination. She was a true inspiration, exemplifying perseverance and strength. Her greatest joy, however, was always her family.
Martha is preceded in death by her siblings, Billie, Richard (Jr), John, Bobbie and her daughter Glenda.
Survivors: Son's Kenneth Wayne, Robert Paul and wife Michelle (who was very much a daughter to her) and Joshua Lee; grandchildren, Kendra (Carl), Krystal (Will), Kent, Katy, Brittany, Zachary, Jacob; great grandchildren, Rebecca, Chelsea (Matt), Talan, Lynna, Cole, Leah, Addison, Krystian, Daryan, Chasita, Zachary, Aurora, Ashlee, Jordan and JJ; great-great grandchildren, Lela Mae, Robyne and Ashton.
Martha loved the Lord, Our Father. She loved reading the Bible. She underlined and highlighted verses finding comfort and inspiration in its teachings. She spent her entire life filled with love for her family, friends and her beloved Bethel Church in Austin, TX. Even after moving to Fort Worth, she watched church services on Sundays via Zoom. She also enjoyed playing games, crafting, reading, her morning coffee, and spending time with dear friends.
Martha had a sharp mind and remembered everyone's birthday, never missing one. We all looked forward to that Happy Birthday phone call or message (or both).
Martha was a woman who was easy to love. Her warmth and kindness made an impression on everyone she met. Her ability to connect with people, to listen, and to speak openly made her a beloved presence in many lives. Her trust in others was a blessing, and even when life knocked her down, she always got back up, showing resilience in the face of adversity.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Cal Farley's Boys Ranch, in her honor. This was one of Martha's greatest passions.
Martha was a blessing to all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed.
Please leave the family condolences and share memories on this website.
