Martha Elizabeth “Liz” Brown, 77, of Folkston, GA passed away Saturday, December 21 at Folkston Park Nursing Home. She was born May 2, 1947 in Folkston, GA to the late Gordon Brown and Martha Hamilton Brown. Liz enjoyed shopping and going out to eat and always looked forward to Christmas. She was a member of Camp Pinckney Baptist Church and attended Sand Hill Baptist Church until her health began to decline.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters: Bertha Barker, Syble Whitney and Jimmy Hollingsworth; her brothers: Robert Brown, Steve Brown and Larry Joe Brown.
She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law: Lois and Larry Adams; 2-brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry and Gloria Player and Tommy and Geri Player; a sister-in-law: Barbara Sue Brown; a brother-in-law: Paul Barker and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28 at 2:00 PM at the Shepard-Roberson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Trent Long and Pastor Paul Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Little Phoebe Cemetery. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
