Martha Burnett Cook, 88, of Boiling Springs, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Martha was born in Anderson, SC on October 17, 1936, a daughter of the late Mary and Olin J. McGill. 

Martha was a devoted member of First North Baptist Church and was a retired Executive Secretary at Milliken and Company. 

She was predeceased by her daughter, Joy Burnett Grigg and her husbands, Gerald Eugene Burnett and Joseph Cook. 

Surviving are her grandchildren, Caroline Thebodeau of Campobello, SC, Madison Thebodeau of Anderson, SC, and twins, Jackson Grigg and Joy Faith Grigg of Boiling Springs, SC; and her sister, Anne Miller of Syracuse, NY. 

A memorial service to remember and honor Martha’s life will be held 3:30 pm Thursday, February 27, 2025, at First North Baptist Church, 8740 Asheville Highway, Spartanburg, SC 29316, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Michael Hamlet. A committal service for the family will be held, at a later date, at Good Shepherd Memorial Park Mausoleum, 4164 SC Highway 9 North, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
