Martha Sue Cross, 79, of Moulton, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2024 at her home. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, July 31, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Lawrence Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Kelso officiating. Burial will be at Moulton Memory Gardens.

Born on March 28, 1945 to the late Fletcher and Venie Claborn Clark, Martha loved fishing and working with her flowers and garden and working her puzzle books. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grand and great-grandkids.

Survivors include her children, Randy (Tammy) Cross, Ricky (Angel) Cross, and Lori (Jay) Ritchie; grandchildren, Taylor (Lauren) Cross, Justin (Tiffany) Cross, Todd Cross, Hunter (Harlie) Cross, Tobie Cross, Kylie Ritchie, and Maggie Ritchie; great-grandchildren, Talan Cross, Lily Cross, Ella Cross, Abie-Grace Cross, Lane Cross, Zayne Borden, Zayden Borden, Zander Cross, and Holland Cross; sisters, Mary McLemore, Gertha (Chuck) Turner,and Maurice Winchester; brother, John (MaryAnn) Clark; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Stanley Cross; parents; sister, Bertie Hitt; and brother, J.W. Clark.

Pallbearers will be Taylor Cross, Justin Cross, Hunter Cross, Talan Cross, Lane Cross, Zayne Borden, and Zayden Borden. Honorary pallbearers are Todd Cross and Zander Cross.

The family extends special thanks to the nurses and staff of Southern Care Hospice, Courtney Davis, Jan Murphy, Abby Newton, and everyone who helped care for and support Martha during her illness.
