Martha Culver, a loving mother, devoted, and remarkable registered nurse, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025, at the age of 100 in her beloved hometown of Louisville, Kentucky. Her passing was surrounded by loved ones, reflecting the warmth and connection that defined her life.

Born on January 6, 1925, in Louisville, Martha was raised with a strong work ethic and a caring spirit. After earning her Associate's Degree in Nursing from Somerset Community College, she dedicated over 20 years of her career to Norton Suburban Hospital, where her compassion and expertise made a profound impact on countless patients and their families. She was admired not only for her professional skills but for her wonderful personality, always exhibiting independence, love, and care for those around her.

Throughout her life, Martha found joy in various hobbies. She was known as a “Sewing Wizard” among her friends and enjoyed crafting beautiful pieces with her hands. Her love for cats brought her much happiness, and she spent countless hours lost in the pages of her favorite books. Martha also cherished traveling, embracing the beauty of new places and experiences, and had a special affinity for collecting cut glass and antiques, each piece telling its own unique story.

Martha is survived by her daughter, Hillary Culver, who carries forward Martha’s legacy of kindness and care. She also leaves behind loving neighbors, Diana Steier and Carolyn Hagan, whose friendship meant the world to her, providing companionship and support over the years.

Martha was predeceased by her daughter, Melanie Culver, and her sisters: Dottie, Jean, Betty, and Sally. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.

Her visitation will be held on November 25, 2025, at Newcomer Funeral Home in East Louisville from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Interment will take place at Resthaven Cemetery at 3:00 PM the same day.

Martha Culver’s life was a testament to love, independence, and caring for others, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, cherished and remembered for all that she was.
