Beloved by friends and family, Martha Lynn Deubler passed away peacefully on January 6th, 2025. She was a shining example of a faith filled life to all who knew her. Martha was born on April 13, 1951 in Seattle WA to Lawrence Philip Deubler Jr. and Ruth Winders Deubler.
After graduating from Sandy Springs High School, Martha's compassionate desire to help young people led her to study social welfare at Florida State University, earning a bachelor of Science in 1973. She was a proud member of Beta Nu Chapter of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Her first career was counseling youth in the Dekalb County Court system in Atlanta, GA. A perennial student, she obtained a Masters in Counseling Psychology in 1978 and a Masters in Exercise Physiology in 1988 from Georgia State University. As a health enthusiast Martha embarked on her second career at BellSouth's Life Reach Center in Atlanta, where she emphasized a balanced lifestyle of exercise, stress relief and good nutrition to all her clients. An avid runner Martha proudly completed 25 Peachtree Road races. Getting a taste of corporate life at BellSouth, Martha's 3rd career was as a Human Resources Staffing Manager at AT&T. She retired in 2019 from AT&T. Martha was a longtime member of Peachtree Presbyterian Church. A loving and devoted daughter, she cared for both her father and mother in their final years. She loved gardening, decorating and running. She leaves behind many friends, both personal and work related. She is survived by her sister Laura Deubler Mercurio, her brother-in-law Joseph M Mercurio and the Wade Family: Lindsey, Lance, Porter and CC. Affectionately know as Meme, she called Porter and CC her precious ones. Countless friends will remember her selfless spirit of giving and compassion. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Martha's name to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta www.choa.org.
