Obituary published on Legacy.com by Kenyon Funeral Home, Inc. - Elkland on Feb. 20, 2026.
Martha Jean Gee, age 81 of Lawrenceville, PA passed away on February 20, 2026 at St. James Hospital in Hornell, NY. She was born on August 4, 1944 in Elmira, NY and was a daughter to the late Frank and Mollie (Coleman) Beardslee. On August 2, 1962 Richard A. "Dick" Gee married Martha, spending 56 loving years together before his passing in December 2018.
Martha was part owner of Double EE Ranch Rodeo Inc. for 47 years and was also vice president of R.A. Gee and Son Trucking for several years. She liked to ram the roads, go to her weekly hair appointments, mow the lawn, do her usual morning routine at Rotsell's Restaurant, and spend time with her family. Martha took pride in her home, enjoying the peaceful and simple life her home and family brought her. In 1962 she graduated from Mansfield High School and was proud of maintaining her friendships with her classmates over the years. Also for many years Martha was a member of the Nelson Cemetery Association. The family would like to give a special thanks to the nurses at Manor Hills.
She is survived by her children; Shari Gee Hugic and Kimberly (James) Myers both of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Ryan, Brooke, Chelsea (Dustin), Travis and Troy; great-grandchildren, Reilly, Kaylee, Richard Henry "Rascal", Cassius, Olivia, Leighton, Landyn, Laney, Wyatt and Reese; brothers, Wayne (Melanie) and Dennis (Judy) Beardslee; sisters-in-law, Barbara Ball, Lucinda Frye, and Sally Gee; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; as well as many close friends. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband, Richard Gee; and a son, Brian "Bub" Gee.
Family and friends are called to the family home at 439 Gee Hollow Road, Lawrenceville, PA 16929, for calling hours on Monday, February 23rd from 4:00 - 7:00 pm and on Tuesday, February 24th from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm. A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 12:00 pm. She will then be laid to rest at Nelson Cemetery.
