Martha Jean Griffith, born February 13, 1947, passed away on Christmas evening after a brief illness.
Jean married Richard Griffith in April 1977. He preceded her in death in 2022. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Saint Mary in 1982 and worked for many years as a registered nurse at Humana Hospital in Overland Park.
Jean enjoyed watching Royals baseball, playing mahjong, and spending time in prayer and study of God’s word.
She was also preceded in death by her stepson, David Griffith. She is survived by her stepdaughter, Diane Clark (Scott Clark); seven step-grandchildren; and seventeen step-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held Friday, January 2, 11:00am, at the National Cemetery in Leavenworth, Kansas. A memorial service for her friends at Aberdeen Village will be announced soon. Memorial contributions may be made to Aberdeen Village PMMA, 17500 W 119th St, Olathe, KS 66061.
