Martha Jean Holman, born on November 24, 1937, in Columbus, GA, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025, at the age of 87. A beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend, Martha spent her years in Collegedale, TN, where she touched the lives of many with her warm spirit and kind heart.
Martha dedicated her professional life as a switchboard operator at McKee Baking Company. However, her true passion lay in her faith and family. A devoted follower of Jesus, she found immense joy in spreading the gospel and living out her beliefs through her actions and interactions with others.
Martha's greatest pleasure came from spending time with her family. She cherished every moment with her children, Michael and Melissa, and took immense pride in her role as a grandmother to Lexi Triplett (Holman). Martha had the unique gift of making everyone feel welcome; she never met a stranger and always had a kind word or a meal to share.
Cooking was one of her many talents, and her family will always remember the warmth of her kitchen, filled with delicious flavors and the love she poured into every meal. Her home was a gathering place, a sanctuary where laughter and love thrived.
Martha's life was a celebration of faith, family, and friendship. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy that will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her. Her memory will forever be cherished by her family and friends.
A service will be held as a loving farewell to Martha, celebrating her life and the profound impact she had on her family and community.
Martha's family will receive visitors at 2:00pm on Sunday, March 16th, at the Collegedale Church. Funeral to follow at 3:00pm.
A private graveside burial reserved for family will follow the service.
