Martha Jo Merrell 89 of Union City, formerly of Dresden passed away November 8, 2025 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Union City. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at Bowlin Funeral Home at 12:00pm. Barial will follow in Caldonia Cemetery in McKenzie. Visitation will be held Wednesday at Bowlin Funeral Home from 10:00am until service time at 12:00pm. Martha was born in Little Rock, AR on December 11, 1935 to the late Felix and Ervie Gibson Smith. She is survived by sons Randall Dilday (Josefina), and Chuck Merrell (Patricia), daughter Pam Cannon (Nathan), daughter-in-law Donna Jackson, 9 grandchildren, and several great grandchildren. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Merrell, a son David Alan Dilday Sr., and 7 sisters.
