James Ronnie Turner, a cherished member of the community, departed this life on November 9, 2025, at the Weakley County Nursing Home. James was born on April 20, 1949, in Dresden, TN, and lived a life filled with love, family, and service to others.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Debbie Turner; son Derek (Samantha) Turner; brothers Thomas and Donnie Turner; sister Brenda Britton; and beloved grandchildren Kinsley and Kamreigh Turner. Each of these family members will carry forward the legacy of kindness and warmth that James exemplified in his life.
James was known for his deep faith as a dedicated member of Bethel Church of Christ in Martin, TN, where he found fellowship and purpose. His faith was an essential aspect of his life, guiding him in all he did.
A graveside service will be held in his honor on November 13, 2025, at Tumbling Creek Cemetery in McKenzie, TN, beginning at 1:00 PM. The service will be officiated by Eddie Hutchins. Please note that there will be no visitation at the funeral home.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Turner and Mildred Walker, who laid the foundation of love and support that he cherished throughout his life.
His gentle spirit and dedication to his family will be remembered fondly by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital, Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, or a charity of your choice in James Turner's honor.
