Martha Jean Morel

Martha Jean Morel passed away on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at the age of 82. Beloved wife of the late Louis Morel Jr. for 31 years. Mother of Louis Paul Morel (Kim), Kelly St. Clair (Jude), Bonnie J. Morel (Joe), Ronnie Morel (Rachelle), and the late Louis Morel III (Kathleen), Peter Dale Morel (Cindy) and Sherry Morel. Daughter of the late Lillie and Tommy Wooley. Sister of the late Larry Wooley and Kay Wooley. Grandmother of Annette Carter (Mark), Lesli Toepfer (Dave), Brandon Morel (Sarah), Pete Morel (Melissa), Jude St. Clair, Jr. (Caitlyn), Justin St. Clair, Bella Morel, Nicholas Morel (Christy), Victoria Rolls (Peyton), Krista Alongi (Allen), Brittany Lauf (Daud) and the late Shawn Morel and Brittany Morel. Great grandmother of Sam, Thomas, Abe, Sonny and Lainey Carter, Liam and Lucy Toepfer, Noah and Hannah Morel, Peyton and Makenzie Morel, Jude Anthony and Channing St. Clair, Paxton Morel, Savannah, Lizzie and Carley Kaiser, Harper and Raiden Rolls and the late Oakley St. Clair. Also survived by nieces, nephews, especially Todd, and other relatives. She was a devout Catholic who served as a Eucharistic minister at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and Our Lady of Good Harbor Catholic Church and a volunteer for hospice. She was devoted to her family and was very proud of all of her children. She was a native of Buras, LA and a resident of Belle Chasse, LA. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 8968 Hwy 23, Belle Chasse, LA on Saturday April 23, 2022 at 11am. Visitation will be held at the church from 9am until 11am. Interment, Our Lady of Perpetual Help Mausoleum. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Tulane Cancer Center, West Jefferson Medical Center, and Notre Dame Hospice.
