Ms. Martha Dean Preston

Ms. Martha Dean Preston, age 91, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Thursday, June 5, 2025 at Kimberly Assisted Living in Dallas, Georgia.
Martha was born on May 29, 1934 in Dallas, Georgia to Mr. William E. Butler and Mrs. Mattie Mae Hicks Butler. She worked for the Federal Reserve at the Atlanta office. She was a loving mother and best friend to her only son, Rudy. She also adored and honored her mother and father. She enjoyed gardening & working in her flowers beds. She was a collector of many things. She was a great seamstress, loved crafting, crocheting and cooking. After retiring from the federal reserve she enjoyed traveling and experiencing life. She was a loving grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Rodolph Little Preston, III; brother, Billy Butler; infant sister, Ida Faye Butler.
Martha is survived by her granddaughter, Kim Whitaker (Justin); grandson, Chris Preston (Lora Wilde); great grandchildren, Stella Burden (Emilio), Sterling Whitaker, Emori Whitaker; daughter in law, Gloria Preston; sister, Carolyn Sansone (Philip); sister-in-law, Ann Butler; several nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
Memorial Services for Ms. Martha Preston will be held on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 1 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home.
Visitation will be on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at Benson Funeral Home from 11 A.M. until the time of the service at 1 P.M.
