Martha Gail Richards passed away on Monday, January 20th 2025 in Marked Tree, Arkansas surrounded by her family. She was 70 years old. Martha was born to Pete and Redis Gatlin Elrod in Lepanto, Arkansas on April 3rd 1954. She married her soulmate and life long love Johnnie William Ray Richards Sr. at Spear Lake Pentecostal Church on July 12th 1970. They enjoyed forty five years of marriage until his passing in 2015. Martha was preceded in death by her loving husband, Johnnie William Ray Richards Sr.; her parents, Dallas Ray “Pete” and Redis Elrod; three brothers, Earnest Elrod; AZ Elrod; Tony Elrod; and two sisters, Effie Mae Steen; and Gearldine Sims. Martha was of the Apolstolic Pentecostal faith and was a faithful and devoted member of the First United Pentecostal Church of West Memphis, Arkansas for many years. Martha was a lifelong homemaker and loving and devoted mother to her four children Cindy, Johnnie, Billy and Amanda as well as a wonderful Mamaw to all her grandchildren. Martha is survived by her daughter, Cindy Richards of San Diego, California; son, Johnnie Ray Richards Jr. of Memphis, Tennessee; son, Billy Richards (Rachel) of Marion, Arkansas; daughter, Amanda Clark (Frances) of Big Spring, Texas; granddaughter, Emilee Rogers; grandson, Christopher Richards; granddaughter, Ashley Richards; granddaughter, Olivia Grace Richards; granddaughter, Haylee Henderson; grandson, Greg Henderson; grandson, Zach Kinard; and great-granddaughter, Zaleigha Lewis. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 5-7 p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 2p.m. at Delancey Funeral Home in Lepanto, Arkansas. Interment will follow services at Garden Point Cemetery in Etowah, Arkansas
