Martha Helena Souza

Martha Helena (MacCormac) Souza, 91, of Vista Court, Seekonk, died on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Golden Living Center – Garden Place, formerly Pleasant Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Attleboro where she resided. She was the wife of the late Antone Cabral Souza to whom she was married on September 16, 1967 and entered into eternal rest on May 9, 1993.

Born in Providence, Rhode Island on March 15, 1917, she was a daughter of the late John F. and Helena F. (Sexton) MacCormac. She was raised and educated in Warwick, Rhode Island and resided in the Seekonk and Attleboro area for more than 50 years.

Mrs. Souza was employed as an assembler at Texas Instruments in Attleboro for several years prior to her retirement in 1978.

She was a member of the Assembly of God in South Attleboro and enjoyed square dancing in earlier years.

Mrs. Souza leaves a son-in-law: John F. Adamonis of Seekonk; two grandchildren: Jason J. Adamonis and Vanessa H. Adamonis both of Seekonk and a great grandchild: Morgan H. Adamonis of Seekonk and several nieces and nephews.

She was the mother of the late Helena A. (Moran) Adamonis and was the sister of the late Helen LaFlamme, Arthur MacCormac, Paul MacCormac, John Dennis MacCormac and Francis MacCormac.

Funeral services and burial will be private.
