Martha Jane Teasley was born on Tuesday, September 23, 1952 in Washington, Kansas to Ralph and Bonnie (Lewis) Dodd. She married Lynn R. Teasley on September 2, 1972 at Friend's Church, Washington. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Altamont, Effingham Women's Bowling Association, Junior Women's Club (Past President), VFW Auxiliary and the Altamont Public Library Board. Martha also coached youth baseball and bowling leagues. Martha retired from McDonalds of Altamont in 2011 after 20 years of service; she even worked side by side with each of her boys. She worked the lounge and snack bar as a "short" order cook at Interstate Bowl where the Teasley family's love of bowling began. "Mama T" was an avid league bowler until just last year and brought home many honors, plaques, and trophies throughout her career, having also been inducted into the USBC BA Hall of Fame. You could often find her at the VFW tearing up the dance floor with her beloved husband. She was an amazing supporter of her grandkids and loved watching them play sports. Her vivacious personality and infectious smile made her easy friends who will deeply miss her company. If you knew Martha, you know she was a K-State fan and always rooted for the Chiefs. While she made her home in Illinois her heart was always back in Kansas.
In addition to her husband of over 53 years, she is survived by; her sons, Jason (Chanda) Teasley, Altamont and Justin (Christian) Teasley, Effingham; grandchildren, Alexandra (Bryce) Simcox, Noah Robert (fiancé Cecelia Ritter) Teasley, Bailey Teasley, Nora Teasley, Avery Teasley, and Ari Teasley; great-grandchildren, Malachi and Grant Simcox; brothers, Gary (Mary) Dodd, Branson, MO, twin brother, Michael (Jodi) Dodd, Oakley, KS, Daniel (June) Dodd, Los Angeles, CA, Ronald (Mary) Dodd, Washington, KS and Allen (Carla) Dodd; sister, Virginia Woborny, Blue Rapids, KS; sister-in-law, Joyce Dodd; and brother-in-law, Calvin Roop.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Dodd; sister, Merry Beth Roop; and brother-in-law, Larry Woborny.
