Martha L. (Altman) Valore, 92, of Slickville, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2025, at Concordia-Bethlen Home in Ligonier with her family by her side. Martha was born on March 12, 1933, in Avonmore, to Harry and Ruth (Amalong) Altman. She is survived by her son, William "Moe" P. (Tammy) Valore Jr.; daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" L. (Alan) Allison; grandchildren, Nannette (DeWayne), Moe (Nicole), David, Amanda (Jeremy), and Courtney; great-grandchildren, Felicia (Erik), Shannon (Shawn), Dylan (Sierra), Korey (Amelia), Alexis (Matthew), Makayla, Hailey, and Ayden; great-great-grandchildren, Hudson and Brooklynn; brother, Frederick (Gail) Altman; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, William "Moe" P. Valore Sr.; siblings, Harold "Crow," Alfred, Gene Altman, and Mary Elizabeth "Dease" Buccardo; and daughter-in-law, Bernadette Valore. Martha was a loving mother and grandmother and adored her family and church. She was a member of St. Sylvester Church in Slickville, where she served for many years as a Eucharistic minister. Martha was also a past employee of the Delmont Food Bank and even volunteered there during her retirement every month. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan. Anyone who knew Martha knew what a loving and caring person she was, and she will be missed dearly by all of us. Martha especially loved her visits from her grandchildren and was so excited to hold her first great-great-grandson, Hudson, who was born the day after Thanksgiving this year. Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, at BASH-NIED-JOBE FUNERAL HOME, 152 Abbe Place, Delmont (724-468-8381). A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2025, at St. Sylvester Catholic Church, Slickville. Interment will be private.
