Martha Conn Watson

Martha Conn Watson, age 94 of Sturgis, KY passed away Monday, November 24, 2025 at Redbanks Nursing Home. She was born October 9, 1931 to the late William and Lorna Conn in Sturgis. Martha was a Christian from the age of 4. She taught Sunday school, sang in the choir, and was a member of the Missions Committee. Martha was a cashier at IGA and worked as a nurse for Dr. Jerry McKinney. She loved to read, loved the Lord, and loved her family. Martha was an avid UK basketball fan. She always had a friendly smile for everybody.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marlin L. Watson; her son, Larry Edward Watson; her grandson, Jerod Watson Sayles; her sisters and a brother

3 Grandsons: Bill Tom Watson of Evansville, IN
John Sayles of Henderson, KY
Willie Blue of Evansville, IN
7 Great Grandchildren: Jordon Watson Sayles. Jayden Parker Sayles, Madison Olivia Sayles, Kaydence Cole Sayles, Kaleb Martin Sayles, Amelia Louise Sayles, and Wyatt Ray Sayles
The service will be 11AM Saturday, November 29, 2025 at Whitsell Funeral Home in Sturgis. Bro. Chuck Summers and Chaplain Tim Shockley will officiate. The burial will be in Pythian Ridge Cemetery. The visitation will be 4-7PM Friday and 9AM until service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
