Martha lived a life richly devoted to her family, music, education, and service. As a dedicated musician, she was an active member of the American Guild of Organists, Rochester Oratorio Society, and Hornell Symphony Orchestra, and sang with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra Chorus and the Oasis Community Chorus, sharing her artistry with professionalism and joy. Martha served as an organist and choir director at numerous churches throughout New York State and Charleston, South Carolina, and was a trusted accompanist for many community and church choirs. Alongside her musical life, she spent 26 years teaching English at both the high school and college levels, inspiring students with her love of language and learning. Through music, teaching, and faith, Martha left a lasting and graceful legacy in every community she touched.
The family would like to extend their gratitude for the loving home care from Nora Zbick, Heathwood Assisted Living and the St. Ann's Community for all of their care and dedication during Martha's stay.
