Martha A. Williams

Mrs. Martha A. Williams, age 83, of Chatsworth, passed away on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at Hamilton Medical Center.

Martha was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Donald Williams; parents, Will and Ethel Tankersley; brothers and sister-in-law, Richard and Hazel Tankersley, Calvin Tankersley, Grady Tankersley, and Billy Tankersley; sister and brother-in-law, Elaine and Arvil Patterson.

Survivors include her children, Johnny and Karin Manis of Dalton, GA, Tammy Hughey of Chatsworth, and Ricky and Wanda Manis of Dalton, GA; stepchildren, Hank Williams of Calhoun, GA and Donna Ruiz of Denver, CO; brother and sister-in-law, Ted and Wilma Tankersley of Crandall, GA; grandchildren, Carrie Rymer and Rickey Manis; great-grandchildren, Kyler Couch, Ciarra Hicks, Karley Davis, and Kaylee Manis; great great-grandchildren, Kylynn Couch, Kylah Couch, and Luka Hicks; extended family also survives.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Martha A. Williams will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Joey Patterson and Rev. Bruce Morrison officiating. Interment will follow at Fairy Valley Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm.

Flowers are accepted, or memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
