It is with profound heart pain and sorrow to announce that Martin Leroy (Marty) Beck, age 80 of Beavercreek, passed away on 6 August, 2024 of natural causes at Soin Medical Center, Beavercreek, Ohio. Martin was born in York, Pennsylvania on 6 July 1944 to the late Irene Beck.

Marty was preceded in death by his mother, brother Richard Beck, and his uncle, Sonny Beck, all of York, Pa. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Carol R. Beck; daughter, Cheryl M. (Donald) Ferguson; grandson Tyler M. Suprynowicz, 29, and granddaughter, Natalie A. Suprynowicz, 26.

Marty retired from the United States Air Force on 7 February1987 with the rank of SMSgt and 23 and one half years service. He is a Vietnam Veteran with Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross, and multiple other commendation and meritorious service ribbons, decorations, and citations. He served at Ton Son Nhut AB, Vietnam, Ubon AB, Thailand, Mactan Is, Philippines, RAF Alconbury and Mildenhall, UK, Altus AFB, Ok, Edwards AFB, Ca, Columbus AFB, Ms, Bolling AFB, Wash., D.C., and Andrews AFB, Md. His Security Police career field consisted of Education & Training Supt., Security Specialist, and Law Enforcement Supervisor.

Marty was a true patriot and loved this country. He was also a kind, gentle, very caring, and loving family man who dearly loved his wife, daughter, and grandchildren. He also had admiration and respect for our wonderful son-in-law, Donald (Don) Ferguson.

Marty had a great command of American and world history, and aspired to be a history teacher, but world events changed his path in life. He also loved to listen to classic country music artists such as Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Marty Robbins, Eddy Arnold, and Hank Williams to name a few.

Our hearts ache with his passing and he will dwell in our heart, mind, and soul forever.
