Martin Downing

It is with a mixture of sorrow and joy that we remember the life of Martin Downing, affectionately known to many as Marty, who was born on July 15, 1963, in Washington Court House, OH, USA, and departed from us on December 11, 2025. While we feel the pain of his absence, we also celebrate the funny, loyal, humble, and inspiring man he was.

Marty was a man who found his happiness in the simple things - his family, his dog Ace, listening to music, and talking to others. He was an ardent supporter of the Ohio State Buckeyes. He had the ability to turn a mundane day into a memorable one with his humor and charm. His humble nature, the loyalty he showed to his friends, and his inspiring love for laughter will be deeply missed.

Marty leaves behind cherished memories with his son, Dylan Downing; and his mother, Jennifer Plueckhahn. We are comforted knowing that his spirit will continue to live on through the love and laughter he left imprinted on our hearts. As Winston Churchill rightly said, "We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give," and Marty truly gave so much to all of us.
