Martin Craig Hansen (Craig) passed away on January 6, 2025 in Florida at the age of 70 years old. He was a devoted and loving husband, father of five, father-in-law and grandfather of 22 children. Everyone who met him became his friend. He had a beautiful smile and a caring way that reached into people's hearts. He was always willing to help anyone in need.
He was born March 8, 1954 on the island of Guam, M.I. in the South Pacific, the third child of Richard Oliver Hansen and Elaine Hansen. Craig had two brothers Garry (deceased) and Lynn and a sister Annette. He met his dear wife, Barbara at BYU and they were married eight months later in the Los Angeles Temple on June 19, 1973. They knew they were soul mates as soon as they met and over 51 years later still felt the same way.
He has lived in many places as a youth as his father was in the military. Guam, Moscow Idaho, Myrtle Beach South Carolina, Mesa Arizona and finally Newport News Virginia. After Barbara and him were married they lived in Orem Utah, Cedar City Utah, Ashland OR, Eagle Point OR, Medford Oregon, Kanab Utah, and finally ended up in Santaquin Utah for the last few years.
Craig loved adventure and was always up for camping, boating, off roading, road trips, and even cruises. He loved to see and experience as many different things as possible. You could never call his life boring.
Craig was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as Bishop's executive secretary, clerking positions, Primary teacher, Elders Quorum President, High Priest Group Leader, Bishop's Counselor, Stake High Councilor, and many other callings.
He leaves a legacy behind as he moves forward. Children; Chet Richard Hansen (Amy), Shanna Hansen (Brent Tolbert), Thomas Craig Hansen (Aubrie), Cynthia Hansen Child, Robert Sterling Hansen (Kylie) along with his 21 grandchildren and he has now joined his grandson Colton who preceded him.
Funeral services will be held at the Santaquin Stake Center, 45 South 500 West on January 18, 2025 at 10 am. Interment will be at the Mayfield Cemetery in Mayfield UT.

As a manager for Western River Expeditions, for many years, Craig was loved and respected by all who associated with him. His warm personality, optimistic outlook, smile, and his work ethic will always be remembered and appreciated. He was a mentor for those he associated with, and for the good example that he was.
