Janie Beth Johnson was born November 28, 1950, in Bay City, Michigan to the late James and Miriam (Moorhead) Johnson. On May 2, 1969, she married Stephen Hansen. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. Janie was an avid quilter. She loved her dogs and loved the Great Lakes.
Surviving are her husband, Stephen; three children, Megan (James) Schindele, Jeffrey (Betsy White) Hansen, Leigh Ann (Daniel) Emrick; two grandchildren, Layla and Logan; and the entire Hansen family.
Janie was preceded in death by her brother, James Johnson II.
Memorial visitation will take place Friday, September 26, 2025, at Grace Lutheran Church from 10 a.m. until the memorial service at 12 p.m. with Rev. Thomas Orth officiating. Cremation arrangements have been handled by the Bannan Funeral Home.
Inurnment: Holy Cross Cemetery
Memorials: Little Food Pantry at Grace Lutheran Church, Feeding Kids Ministry, or The Mustard Seed Shelter in Saginaw
