Scott Lynn Hansen was born on July 3, 1963, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to Harold and Claire (Leth) Hansen. He passed away on September 7, 2025, at his home in Clinton, Missouri, at the age of 62. Scott graduated from North Loup Scotia High School in Scotia, Nebraska, in 1981. Throughout his life, he worked in various trades while living in Nebraska, including painting and carpentry. He also worked for Bass Pro Shops making Tracker boats in Clinton, Missouri until the COVID-19 pandemic hit and caused company layoffs. He was a passionate fan of Husker football and the Kansas City Chiefs. Scott cherished spending holidays in Nebraska and enjoyed family camping and tanking trips.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his nephew, Nicholas Hansen; his grandparents, Elmer and Frances Leth and Martin and Margaret Hansen; and several aunts and uncles.
Scott is survived by his siblings: Debbie Hansen of Aurora, Nebraska; Dennis (Carrie) Hansen of North Loup, Nebraska; Sondra (Wayne) Pohlmeier of Grand Island, Nebraska; and Lori (Randy) Merten of Albion, Nebraska.
He is also survived by his nieces and nephews: Nicki (Josh) Underwood of North Loup, Nebraska; Jeni (James) Vech of Valparaiso, Nebraska; Whitney Hansen of Lincoln, Nebraska; Clark (Jordan) Pohlmeier of Kansas City, Missouri; Heather (Brandon) Peszulik of Omaha, Nebraska; Kaylee Merten of Petersburg, Nebraska; Keri (Ryan) Hagemann of Lincoln, Nebraska; Kelly (Phil) Hranac of Grand Island, Nebraska; and Jonathan (Chloe) Merten of Kearney, Nebraska.
Scott also leaves behind great-nieces and great-nephews: Eliza (Lily) and Kellen Underwood; Norah, Jackson and Allie Vech; Corbin Towey; Sam, Lauren and Whit Hagemann and Henry, Oliver and Franklin Hranac, as well as several aunts and uncles.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
