Martin Edward Loiselle, 84, of Warwick, passed away on Thursday, January 9th, 2025 at home, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Suzanne Marie (Lambert) Loiselle for 60 years. Born in Lincoln, he was the son of the late George and Estelle (Lussier) Loiselle, and had 5 brothers, George, Robert (deceased), Victor (deceased), Leo, and Richard.
He is survived by his wife, Suzanne, and his children, Martin Jr. and his partner Stacey Ledoux, Andrew and his wife Alexis, Denise Deblasio, Julie Salisbury and her husband Dennis, and Alan and his partner Deborah Lindstrom. Martin also leaves 12 grandchildren, Martin III and his wife Janelle, Allison and her partner Samuel Nichols, Courtney, John Andrew, Hayley, Jack, William, Charles, Lauren Salisbury and her fiancé Eric Ryder, Jillian Biello and her husband Paul, Rachel Deblasio and her partner Jose Varela, and Julia Deblasio. He had 2 greatgrandchildren, Oliver and Leo.
Martin earned a Master's degree from Rhode Island College and taught French at Cranston High School West for 26 years until his retirement in 1990. He taught his students and his children many important life lessons by his word and example. He showed them that the right path is often the more difficult one, the value and dignity of an honest day's work, that your word is your bond, the quiet sacrifices a man makes for his family, and the simple beauty of an ordinary life. Martin was not wealthy or famous, yet he was a great man in every meaningful sense of the word. He was kind hearted and honorable, and was loved and respected by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.
His Funeral will be held on Saturday, January 18th, 2025 at 8:30AM from The Urquhart-Murphy Funeral Home, 800 Greenwich Avenue, Warwick with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 237 Garden Hills Drive, Cranston. Interment will follow at St. Ann Cemetery in Cranston.
Visitation will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday, January 17th, 2025 from 5:00PM-7:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Hope Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02920.

Our deepest condolences to the Loiselle family. Sending our love and prayers. During the decades of annual "camping" trips to parks and from the mid-eighties, to Prudence Island. Marty would generate laughter with his quick wit and play on words.
Sharing a multitude of thoughts, opinions, and experiences, Marty was always upbeat and sincere. He was truly admired by many.
We will miss him, but take comfort in being so fortunate to have known this quality man.

Our condolences to the family. I am heartbroken and will miss my boxing friend. He was a happy, smiling face sharing jokes with all his friends in the gym. He will truly be missed by all of us. Marty.... 1,2,3.....ROCK STEADY!
