Martin "Marty" Padgett

Mr. Martin Fitzgerald Padgett, 58 age of Moss Point, MS was born February 21, 1966, to the union of Clyde D. Padgett and Gaynell Jackson Padgett. He was better known as "Marty". On September 14, 2024, He departed this life and entered into the pearly gates of heaven.
Martin enjoyed fishing and football but most of all church. He was an avid member of Sunday School, Church Choir, and Male Choir.
He was a graduate of Moss Point High School with the Class of 1985, and a graduate of Carver State Technical Barber College of Mobile, AL. Martin was a licensed barber and was a barber in the family business at Jackson Park Barber Shop.
He met no stranger and his smile was infectious. His heart was overflowing with love for his family and friends. He will be surely missed. We thank God for blessing us with such a loving soul.
He was preceded in life by his father, Clyde D. Padgett; grandparents, A.T. and Ophelia Jackson.
He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories his loving and devoted mother, Gaynell Jackson Padgett; his sister, Bridget L. Gilstrap; his nephew, Sidney Gilstrap of Atlanta, GA; five aunts, Bunnie (Wesley)Jones of Moss Point, MS, Fannie Royster of Los Angles, California, Francis Johnson, Barbara McConico of Pensacola, FL and Carolyn Robins of Cantonment, FL; three uncles, James Odom of Moss Point, MS, Larry Robins of Cantonment, FL and Wesley Jones of Moss Point, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members and friends.
