Matilda O. Williams Davis was born December 3, 1954, to the late Minnie Ella (James Lloyd) Sellers, Sr. and the late James Taylor, Jr. She passed away August 30, 2025 after a lengthy illness in Diversicare Rehabilitation Center in Moss Point, MS.

Matilda, affectionately called "Tillie" was raised in Moss Point, received her education through Moss Point Schools. She was proceeded in death by her parents, maternal grandparents, Elsie"Mama Elsie" Sanders and Mose Sanders; paternal grandparents Matilda Lopes Taylor and Louis Taylor; siblings, Willie "Pepper" Haynes, Janice Sellers Harris and Lonia "Boo Boo" Sanders; uncles, Earl Sanders, Sr., Mose "Buster" Sanders, Robert Evans, Willie "Sugar" Evans and Sonny Evans.

She leaves to cherish her memories five brothers, Arthur Haynes, Mobile, AL; James (Joanne) Sellers, Jr.; Mickel (Lisa) Williams, both of Los Angeles, CA; Dwayne Sellers, Pascagoula, MS and Michael (Sheila) Taylor, Moss Point, MS; four sisters, Dorothy (Vernon) Sheffield, Los Angeles, CA; Yvonne Haynes, Macon, GA, Paulette Rivers, Shepherd, TX and Vickie Taylor, Moss Point, MS; devoted friend Quinton Proffitt; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Until we meet again, you will forever be in our hearts.
