Martin C Rocheleau

Martin Charles Rocheleau, 90, of Fitzwilliam, passed peacefully surrounded by the love of his family after a brief period of declining health at Cheshire Medical Center in Keene on Monday, August 12, 2024.
Martin was born a son to the late Mildred (Boucher) and Emile Vernal Rocheleau Sr. on February 26, 1934. He was educated locally at Troy High School class of 1952. After Martin graduated, he honorably served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War from 1953-1956. During his time in the army Martin had worked as a Vehicle Mechanic.
On September 19, 1983, Martin exchanged vows with Carol Ann (Primrose-Bartley). They had a simple service at the Cathedral of the Pines where they were surrounded by the love of family and friends. Martin had previously been married to Diana who has since passed.
Martin had worked as Millwright (Maintenance Mechanic) for many years. He was also a volunteer-call Firefighter for the town of Troy and Meadow Wood Fire Department for 18 years.
Martin had many hobbies such as crossword puzzles and a joy for the outdoors. He enjoyed cross-country skiing, ATV rides and snowmobiling in New Hampshire and Maine. He especially enjoyed making snowmobile trails. Martin could build anything and everything. He always made sure no matter where he and Carol Ann lived to make her box beds for her gardens.
Martin is survived by his loving wife Carol Ann Rocheleau of Fitzwilliam, his children, Charles Floyd Rocheleau and his wife, Heather of Swanzey, Christopher Mark Rocheleau and his wife, Tammy of Troy, Renee Rougier and her husband Michael of Chester, VT., Leslie Matson and her husband David of Troy, Morgan Matthew Bartley of Fitzwilliam and Kim Noel Bartley of Spokane, WA. He is also survived by his sister Jane Rideout of Keene and his grandchildren, Sumer, Craig, Alana, Rylee, Harlan, John, Fred, Cathi, Matthew, Conlan, Rosendo, Michael and Nichole as well as numerous great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He is predeceased by his siblings, Emile Vernal Jr., Edward, Phylis, Ann and Marsha.
