In Loving Memory of Martin Mendoza Rojas
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Martin Mendoza Rojas, who passed away on February 17, 2026 in Fresno, California, at the age of 58.
Martin was born on February 24, 1967, and lived most of his life in Fresno, where he became known as a hardworking man who dedicated many years of his life to his trade as a professional painter. Through his work he built lasting relationships and left his mark on many homes and lives throughout the community.
He was the son of José Soto and Ernestina Mendoza, and the youngest son among eight siblings in a large family of five brothers and three sisters.
Martin was a father to Martin Mendoza Jr., Jonathan Mendoza, and Jennifer Mendoza, and a proud grandfather to his granddaughter Marley Acevez, who brought joy to his life.
Those who knew Martin remember that in his free time he enjoyed singing, playing volleyball, and spending time around a pool table, often sharing laughs and good moments with family and friends.
In June of 1997, Martin was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses, reflecting an important step in his spiritual life and his appreciation for the Bible's message and hope.
Martin passed away one week before his birthday, and on a day that carries deep meaning for his family - his son Martin's birthday. While the loss is deeply felt, his family takes comfort in the many memories shared with him and the impact he had on those who knew him.
He will be remembered by his children, granddaughter, extended family, and many friends whose lives he touched over the years.

En Amorosa Memoria de Martin Mendoza Rojas
Con profundo pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de Martin Mendoza Rojas, quien partió el 17 de febrero de 2026 en Fresno, California, a la edad de 58 años.
Martin nació el 24 de febrero de 1967 y vivió la mayor parte de su vida en Fresno, donde fue conocido como un hombre trabajador que dedicó muchos años a su oficio como pintor profesional. A través de su trabajo formó relaciones duraderas y dejó su huella en muchos hogares y en la comunidad.
Fue hijo de José Soto y Ernestina Mendoza, y el hijo menor entre ocho hermanos, creciendo en una familia grande de cinco hermanos y tres hermanas.
Martin fue padre de Martin Mendoza Jr., Jonathan Mendoza y Jennifer Mendoza, y un orgulloso abuelo de su nieta Marley Acevez, quien le traía mucha alegría.
Quienes lo conocieron recuerdan que en su tiempo libre disfrutaba cantar, jugar voleibol y pasar tiempo alrededor de una mesa de billar, compartiendo buenos momentos y risas con familiares y amigos.
En junio de 1997, Martin se bautizó como uno de los Testigos de Jehová, un paso importante en su vida espiritual que reflejaba su aprecio por las enseñanzas de la Biblia y la esperanza que esta ofrece.
Martin falleció una semana antes de su cumpleaños, y en un día que tiene un significado muy especial para su familia: el cumpleaños de su hijo Martin. Aunque su partida deja un profundo vacío, su familia encuentra consuelo en los recuerdos compartidos, en el amor que dejó y en las muchas vidas que tocó a lo largo de su vida.
Será recordado con cariño por sus hijos, su nieta, su familia extendida y los muchos amigos que tuvieron el privilegio de conocerlo.
