Born February 6, 1948, in Keyser, WV, Mr. Sharpless was the son of the late Clark Sharpless, and Norma (Tasker) Sharpless. He was also preceded in death by his grandson: Mitchell Morris.
Moon retired from Westvaco Paper Mill with 42 years of service. He was an avid Steelers fan. Moon loved spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He grew up around Deep Creek Lake as a young man, and his family maintained a cabin for many years where they made numerous great memories.
Moon is survived by his wife of 59 years: Susan (Terrant) Sharpless; his daughter: Renee Morris and husband, Gary, Jr.; his son: Martin "Marty" Sharpless, Jr. and wife, Stephanie (Goldizen); his grandchildren: Matt Morris. Payton Sharpless, Kaden Sharpless, and Brecken Sharpless; his great-grandchildren: Maverick Morris, Alayah Morris, and Mazy Morris; his brother: Clark Sharpless; and his two Boston Terriers whom he loved.
A memorial service will be held for immediate family at later date.
