Martin V. Walsh

Martin V. Walsh, age 94, passed away on July 1, 2024. Marty was a longtime resident of Newtown Square, PA. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen R. (nee Reardon) with whom he shared 67 years of marriage, and devoted father of Kevin M. Walsh (Tracy Slider) and Denise A. Curran (John Welsh); also survived by his grandchildren Steven Walsh (Jenna Hornby), Kendall Thompson (Alex), Michael Curran, and Sean Curran (Brittany). He will especially be missed by Patrick Quinn, his nephew with whom he worked for many years, as well as by Jessica Slider-Mittal and Tori Slider.
Marty was a graduate of West Catholic High School and was a long-time member of St. Anastasia Church. After serving in the Army in the Korean War as a staff sergeant, he returned home to his beloved Newtown Square and started his own business Martin V. Walsh Inc Electrical Contractors in 1956. In the summer months, Marty enjoyed spending time at his home in Avalon, NJ.
