Martina P. Scott, a beacon of love and compassion, passed away on November 18, 2025, in Rochester, New York, just a few days before her 52nd birthday. Born on November 23, 1973, in Nichols, South Carolina, she touched the lives of everyone around her with her warm spirit and unwavering devotion.
Martina dedicated her career as a caring Certified Nursing Assistant at The Episcopal Church Home, where she showcased her tenderness and empathy for those she served. Her ability to connect with patients and provide comfort during challenging times made a significant impact on the lives of many, reflecting her deep-seated love for helping others.
In her personal life, Martina embodied the essence of a loving and caring mother and partner. She cherished her children profoundly, and nothing brought her greater joy than the special moments shared with them. Her son, Uniqnious (Niko) Porcha, and his wife, Chanel, along with her daughters, Kayla Porcha and Takeyra Gibsons-Cuffee, were her pride and joy. Martina enjoyed the simple pleasures, such as savoring the meals that Niko lovingly prepared for her, which became cherished memories that she held dear.
Martina shared her life with her loving partner, Takeya Scott, with whom she created a nurturing and supportive home filled with laughter and love. Together, they built a life based on trust and companionship, embracing each day with warmth and passion.
She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, June and Betty Joe Porcha, who surely welcomed her into their loving arms. Their legacy of love will continue to inspire those who carry her memory forward.
A graveside service to honor Martina's life will be held on December 2, 2025, at Riverside Cemetery in Rochester, New York, where her family and friends will gather to celebrate the beautiful life she lived and the indelible mark she left on the world. As we reflect on her time with us, let us remember her loving spirit, her warmth, and her unwavering dedication to family and friends. Martina P. Scott will forever be missed but never forgotten.
