Martine A. Beahn

Martine A. (Lucas) Beahn of Coopersburg, PA. passed away on Dec. 19, 2023, at the age of 99. Born on Sep. 27, 1924, she was raised in Zion Hill, PA. Martine was the daughter of the late Clara (Harwick) Lucas and William Lucas. Martine was married 36 years to the late Edwin E. Beahn who passed away on Aug. 19, 1981. Martine was a 1985 retiree of F.W. Woolworth Company in Quakertown, PA where she worked as bookkeeper for 15 years. She was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Zion Hill, PA. Many of her services at Zion were as a Sunday school teacher, youth group advisor, church council member, pianist, choir member, WELCA member, and member of the Tie Knot Quilters. She volunteered for many years at St. Luke's Quakertown Hospital and Upper Bucks Food Pantry. Martine was an avid gardener, sewer, and quilter.

Martine is survived by her daughters Sandra (Dale) Rodgers of Quakertown, Bonita (James Jr.) Ritz of Quakertown, and Terry (Richard) Ottinger of East Greenville; grandchildren Wendy & Jeffrey Ashman, James Ritz III, Brian Ritz, Andrew Ottinger, Timothy & Heather Ottinger, and Corinne Rodgers & Christopher Norris; great grandchildren Caroline Ottinger, and Sara Ottinger & Daniel Norris; and many other loving family and friends. She is predeceased by sisters Jean Koons and Edith Sigmans.

All are invited on Thu. Dec. 28 to Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2966 Old Bethlehem Pike, Zionhill, PA 18981 for a viewing from 10-11am, and a celebration of life at 11am. Interment to follow at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, Limeport, PA.
